I have used ftpfs with my HTML editor (I was using Quanta. It doesn't have WYSIWYG, tho).
Once it's all setup, /home/me/mysite is really a directory on your FTP server.  So it
let's any editor support remote editing.  Works great.  http://ftpfs.sourceforge.net/
