[olug] Ghost and Linux servers

What point are you at?

Are you looking for a way to backup/restore or just to
1. boot the workstation
2. start the NIC
3. connect to the SMB share on the linux server
4. run ghost

or do you want to control it from the server
1. shared drive from each workstation
2. either connect via Samba or use smbtar

or
1. boot from a Linux CD
2. nfs mount the server DIR
3. partition/mount the workstation drive
4. untar the image from the server

I've been fielding questions from a Windows support person  on boot
cd's/etc. I can see (on monday) how far he's gotten in the last couple of
weeks. He was building a Dos boot CD with all possible NIC drivers to be
able to ghost compaq workstations over the network.
