[olug] RH 9.0 and a Compaq EVO

I am having a problem with my dual boot desktop Compaq EVO D510 system.  I cannot install Red Hat 9 to it, period.  I can't even boot from the CD.  I tried the GUI install.  It dies right after checking the media.  I tried the text install.  It stops loading at the "loading /sbin/loader".  Has anyone else seen any problems?  And no, I have not spent any time at google yet today.  Had a couple of work things pop up that need to be taken care of first...
