Here goes with my best, high-level look at what it is capable of (at the
desktop):
Remote control of the system
Inventory the hardware and software on the system
Imaging of the system
Remote Desktop (you desktop, preferences(settings), and files follow
you)
Application management (installing new software or self healing
software if malfunctioning)

Here is where you can find more info:

It might behove you to tell the list what ZENWorks does and it's
capabilities..."I've never managed a Novell network but might use a
similar package" type of thing...

Subject: [olug] Asset Management

My coworkers and I were discussing Open Source software and their
counterparts in the proprietary realm and I could not think of an
asset
management piece equivalent to ZENWorks from Novell. Has anyone had
experience with something that they would share with me and what they
think about it? Any and all replies are greatly appreciated!!
