[olug] Erros using Zonet KVM Switch

I have a Belkin also, 4-port. Pay the extra money to get one with a power brick. I did not get the powered one and it will get a little "funky" when switching on me, but it always starts working after a few seconds of figuring out the mouse and keyboard are REALLY there.

I have 3 Red Hat systems and 1 NT 4.0 Server system on a 4 port Belkin and
it works fine.
At home I have used Windows XP and Red Hat on a 4 port Belkin without any
problems also.
I first just used monitor switching and then went to a full KVM to eliminate
the extra mice and keyboards and save them as spares. Have had no problems
with the mouse stopping working. They have built in circuitry to prevent
that.
I got one at CompUSA and the others thru www.globalcomputer.com where I have
an account at.

I've had exceptionally good luck with a Raritan SwitchMan. It's a little
pricey by the time you purchase their cables also but it works well. The
Raritan actually uses a chip on each port to keep the voltages properly
applied when you switch to another box. I looked into a number of KVMs at
the time and decided on Raritan for this reason.

I have the 4 system model and I switch between 3 RedHats and 1 Win98.
