[olug] SuSE 9.0 problems w/X freezing SOLVED

Got it!

Another list  suggested I replace 'nv' (in XF86Config) with 'vesa'.

That did the trick.  Then I used 'sax2-vesa' to enable NVidia's 3D
acceleration.

Strange things... 'nv' was the ticket on this same box under SuSE 8.2.  Of
course, now that I know I can swap out 'nv', I's be thinking I'll stick 'aa' in
there next  ;)

I must say the network install was great... thanks to the post/copy on
olug.org.
