askpass is the mechanism to securely get you authenticated against the users
for the machine.

>From your listing it appears that you don't have a ssh daemon, you will want
openssh-server
If you're a RHN then just '/usr/sbin/up2date openssh-server' to get it
installed.  If not then search for it on rpmfind or download and build.  The
current version of openssh is 2.9p2-11.7 , the same for the rest of the
openssh suite.
