[olug] OT: Cheap cisco routers?

Usually I go by the 5,4,3 rule.

5-4-3 rule - 5 network segments, 4 repeaters or hubs, and no more than 3
segments "populated," i.e. connected, at a given time

So if you have 2 switches between your 2 network devices, this is
usually considered your 3 populated segments.
     SG1 SG2 SG3
ND1 ------ SW -------- SW -------- ND2

ND - network device
SW - Switch
SG - Segment

Ummm, I thought that was the 3 switch rule.
