You can also go to /boot and change the symlink for boot.b from
boot-menu.b (graphical) to boot-text.b (text)

That qwill change lilo so rerun lilo and then reboot. Now in ManDark I do
not know if that also prevents the graphical bootup. I know it used to in
Colder-n-a as they triggered off of lilo.
