[olug] dhcpcd problem

Yes--Brian-- I had called Cox yesterday, and they suggested the exact same
thing: un-plugging the cable modem for a few minutes  to re-set it-- and
THEN plugging it into the Linux machine.  No luck, sadly.  Also, I re-booted
my Linux laptop after doing so.

And-- also, about the Xircom card... sounds like others have been having
problems with it.  Are your problems very similar to those which I am
describing?  I just want to rule everything out before having to buy a new
ethernet card.
Also, the card was "recognized"-- so?  Hmmm...
