I think it was a combination of things.
1 went back and revisited the PNP issue and disabled it on card and brought
it up in windows and noted where it was running from.  Then used card
utility and setup the card for that.
2. got the host name in the correct place.
I have a bunch of notes that I am going to go through and see what all I did
do but those come to light off the top.

Now if I could get the darn sound card working again, it was before the eth0
problem but pulled it out to eliminate ANY possible conflicts.  It does show
up now as the only PNP device on a probe and it does detect the correct card
but when I run sndconfig to configure it is just sits there and never
finishes.  Ain't this fun.
