- From what I've heard, which package goes on which disk (and hence which
disks you use) depends on how popular that package is.  Perl and apache,
for example, will be on disk 1.  The less popular packages are put on disk
2, and disk 3 has the more obscure packages that not very many people use.

The sources are on a different disk set.
