Unix-type system usually do that by having the group "w" bit set on the
file but missing on the directory.

There is currently no way to change the permission bits from the Windows
Explorer - explorer crashes if you try to do anything outside of view the
permission bits.

This is with Samba 2.0.7 btw - I've not tried 2.2.0 CVS.
