[olug] pppd is pissing me off

I'm not running pppd manually, wvdial is. Where would I add the debug
option? Here's the errorlog from daemon.log:

Apr  9 20:54:11 riff pppd[674]: The remote system is required to
authenticate itself
Apr  9 20:54:11 riff pppd[674]: but I couldn't find any suitable secret
(password) for it to use to do so.
Apr  9 20:54:11 riff pppd[674]: (None of the available passwords would let
it use an IP address.)
