[OLUG] SCSI vs. IDE Burner

Either will work fine.  I disagree with your claims that SCSI burners are
expensive, however and difficult to set up.  I bought a 4x4x16 RW 8 months
ago for $250.00 that was SCSI, and setting it up only involved a kernel
recompile to add SCSI cdrom support.  It works perfectly; havent burned a
coaster yet.

I would say most people that already have scsi will enjoy a scsi burner,
but IDE will be fine too.  My reasons for using SCSI were I already had
the scsi card and scsi harddrives.  I feel more confident about burning a
cd under system loads of 3+ and heavy disk access with SCSI then I would
with IDE.
