[olug] Meetings

I've found in things I've been involved with in the past that food is a
great way to get people together, even if the meeting is a flop, you get
to bs and have an excuse to eat out.

As for the sunday thing. Work has me tied up from 3 pm to 11 pm mon-fri.
We could have a meeting at 11 am, and that would be great :) Midnight
would be even better. I doubt I'm the only one who seems to be awake more
when it's dark than when it's light. Lets operate on geek time. I didn't
make it to the meeting this week, not because of work, but because I'm on
vacation. So I really shouldn't be emailing right now, but I was writing
code on tuesday, so that idea is shot down.

How about a meet on an irc server. I could provide a chanserv bot and
whatnot on my network (www.freeirc.org), or we could go to someplace like
dal. It's an easy way to chit chat without having to drive accross town.
Maybe would could set up a java applet on the olug web page to make it
easy. But then again, if you can handle linux (or even think about
handling it) you should be able to handle irc.

Just an idea.
